What bothers me most about globalization, especially as someone living in a major population hub, is that it's no longer necessary to travel anywhere for specific cuisines or products. Apart from maybe some exceptions, one can literally get anything anywhere, which takes so much joy and excitement out of, say, getting a good Paella in Spain or a ceramics set in Japan.
