Yes! I roll my eyes every time a sports commentator says “they did amazing” or someone says “I shop local”. Never an adverb to be heard. It sounds so common, and I am affected terribly (not ‘terrible’). 🙄

‘Fronted adverbials’ are a very big thing in primary schools.
