A Tribe Called Quest - People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm Hip-Hop/Rap • 1990 Apple put Tribe’s second album on their list, but I prefer the first album - as soon as you get past the baby crying at the beginning. Taking on police brutality while still sounding so up beat and giddy is a feat all on its own.

Aside from the aforementioned crying at the beginning of the album, there’s not another second wasted on the record. One of the most chill songs of all time, Can I Kick It, is found about halfway through the album. It’s one of the best songs to simply vibe out to. Other standouts: I Left My Wallet in El Segundo, Luck of Lucien, and Footprints
