I don't know if my name is cool or not, but I knew I wanted it to be a made up singular noun. I knew I would primarily be making 'dark' music so I wanted the word 'ghost' somewhere in it to signal to others the type of music I make. Originally this project was called Ghostess. I played 2 shows under that name before someone told me there was a band from NYC with that name. So I immediately went back to the drawing board & fused 'stalker' to the end or ghost. Fusing the two made it it's own thing

It was a nickname from when I was younger, but there was already a "Witchy" so I added the Coven.

I had been making music as my own name, Steve Ogden, for a few months this year and just thought it sounded boring. I tried to think of some other names - Melodious Funk, sounded like my music but was taken. I heard that 11:11 was a magical time of day, make a wish, so Eleven Eleven sent me down a numbers route. It was taken. 5x5, army communications code for "loud and clear" but was taken. Then it occurred to me. I make trio music, the sound of three people, by one person. Three By One. SOLD!
