If evanGENITALS focused only on what Christ was actually quoted as saying.. i.e. just the red print in most bibles... they'd be extremely conflicted trying to push the agenda that they are pushing. Christ didn't say much at all about The Old Testament. It was already way out of context with where they were then.. and completely out of context with where we are today. We're not still trying to repopulate the entire earth after some mass extinction flood even. Opposite problem now.

I left Christianity in college because the religious right convinced me they were correct in their interpretation of the Bible. (It really does say a ton of horrible things!) For a brief period I was still a believer and VERY mad at God.

I left, and I don’t believe in his teachings at all. I think Nietzsche hit the nail on the head regarding the Christian mentality in his essay “Beyond Good and Evil.”

Nadia presents as a breath of fresh, irreverent approach to faith. Worth taking in one of her essays, sermons, interviews to learn how thought provoking faith can be. That said, I find the amount of effort a non-believer puts into bringing the insults to anyone who has made the choice to believe. Why do you, as a body, care what others believe - especially when if done well, addresses some of the needs of the community you live in.
