Bcos toddlers are toddlers and their brains aren’t fully developed so they can’t control their emotions like we do.

It’s kids being kids, they could scream because they want a million things from the store , when I say no to their request or they simply just don’t like being in supermarkets . Just imagine you being a kid, cause I know I definitely hated be in supermarket cause of old ass people. ( I’m one of them now )

Because other parents expect people to accommodate to the child. Not knowing they’re creating an entitled brat.

I mean, it's annoying to us parents too. TBH though, those looks do not help. Kids have emotions and they are learning how to navigate them and parents can't just push a button. Trying to talk to a kid in that state does more harm.

To be honest with you……. I’m a mother of 2, and i agree. Idc what the circumstances is- i really don’t. Kids should not be acting wild and carrying on in a store. If my kids started to act up- we are leaving. It’s disrespectful embarrassing and unacceptable to allow a child to wallow on the floor, run around the aisles, scream, and cry… absolutely unacceptable. If they have a medical diagnosis, then that’s a bit different but even then, i feel the parent should be mindful of the environment 1/2

It’s easy for people to say things like this especially who aren’t parents. Being a sahm of two boys and one with spd having to do the basic needs I need to do is hard enough then to have people who say things like this is crazy. with my kids sometimes a screaming child in a supermarket isn’t the end of the world we can sit there and displine or sit there and comfort or ignore sometimes the outcome is still the same. Babies/kids have emotions too who can necessarily regulate themselves just yet.

Situations like this are really difficult for everyone involved. The kid, the parents, everyone else who is around. Babies and kids cry sometimes. They don’t know how to regulate their emotions yet, and oftentimes crying is their only form of communication. I have three kids and they did sometimes cry/scream in public, but I always cut things short if they just weren’t having it. There were a lot of rushed shopping trips and restaurant meals taken to go and walks outside to help them calm down

Until you are in that type of situation you don’t understand. I guarantee you that the parents don’t like it when their children do that either. It’s embarrassing and stressful & it doesn’t mean that those parents aren’t properly parenting their kids. Kids are still learning on what’s appropriate and what isn’t. I’ve seen PLENTY of adults that can’t control their emotions in public. Also, hating kids isn’t cool.
