Do you think when a band loses a member(s) to a tragedy, that the band should continue with new people, under the same name? Or do you think they should rename the whole band since it’s technically not the same? Replacing a drummer does not seem nearly as bold as replacing the singer and keeping the same name. For me, it’s seems disrespectful and sort of like a money grab. They could easily still be a band with a different name, but they likely wouldn’t make the same amount of 💰linkinpark

Idt Chester would have want the band Linkin Park stops making music. His wife suppots them. So who are we to judge? We didnt even know that man in person….the bandmated and his wife did.

If you think money is the primary motivation, they probably kept their focus on venture capital, as they seem to have been quite successful there in the last decade and that pays a lot better than the music industry nowadays. According to Mike, they just wanted to create music and after they did it felt like Linkin Park to them, so they did release it under Linkin Park - which is fine in my book.

Idk why there has to be so much hate and negativity towards a group of musicians trying to continue doing something they love after a traumatic loss. It’s been 7 years. Chester’s legacy will live on and nothing can replace what he created and built. It’s not up to the fans to dictate how them moving on as a band should look.
