Can we all agree ratings are personal and have nothing to do with whether you’ll recommend the book to someone else? I rated Legends & Lattes 5⭐️ but that doesn’t mean I’ll recommend it to everyone. It’s not everyone’s vibe.

Yes!! I’m getting so tired of seeing these posts that try to police the way everyone else rates a book😂

There are books I’ve rated 2⭐️ that I’ve reocmmend to other readers. I didn’t like it (b/c of my preferences) but knew it was something they would enjoy (and did). Idk why people get so bent out of shape for having different opinions. Books aren’t meant to be for every single person.

I recommend a 2 star book to someone that I knew would love it. She was shocked that I didn’t like it when I recommended it to her. I told her that just because I didn’t like doesn’t mean she won’t.

I’ve rated books 3 or less stars and will recommend it to others especially when I realize I’m not the target audience. If it’s really bad, sure I won’t recommend it but often times I find I’m just not the person for the book but I know there would be others that are.

And the opposite is true too. I gave a popular romantic thriller 3 stars because it was lacking in a bunch of key areas BUT I’ve recommended it to people in reading slumps because it’s very bingeable and easy to get into.
