As Hispanic Heritage Month approaches, I reflect on feeling caught between worlds—too Hispanic for some, not “brown enough” for others. I struggled with guilt over being “white passing” and less fluent Spanish. But I’ve learned that being Hispanic is about embracing our shared culture and experiences. This month, I celebrate my identity with pride, embracing both the struggles and strengths it brings.
