I get it, but I push film to its limits. A lot. I can rescue an image here and there that really wants to fight me for its existence. Most of what I do though is just white balance and exposure. Generally speaking, though, the choice to shoot film over digital is all the editing I want.

Post processing and editing has always been a key component of photography since “film” was actually a glass plate. Color negative film is great because of its latitude for color correction.

I don’t understand why people get so precious about what other people do with their photos. Edit how little or how much you want

When I shot film mostly monochrome) I processed it myself then printed the negs in my own darkroom. I had filters to control contrast, bits of card and wire and weird hand shapes to dodge/burn and I could control exposure/development times then regularly chemically toned the prints. Lightroom simply meant I do this without the need for a safe lights and smelly hands.
