I sent 20yrs in youth ministry. I've seen parents be super conservative. I've seen parents be super liberal. Whether they are strict or not. The kid 9 out of 10 times the kid is "messed up" or has some type of trauma. The key? Communication. Know that they are kids they will mess up, they will make mistake, they will do things you don't approve of. Be there for them. They are your kids. Not you. They have their own journey. Talk to them and understand that.
