Cue Trulicity. Trulicity is a GLP-1 that works by making your pancreas produce insulin, limiting thr sugars that go into your blood from your liver, and making your digestive system slow down. There are a host of complications that can happen with this drug (and similar drugs) that I wish I'd known before I started it. I didn't want to go on insulin. I was seriously avoiding it. This was my last chance.

My sugars never went below 220 for the six months I took it. I was miserable 4 out of 7 days a week. 3 months in I was down to 2 fist sized meals a day. I had to force myself to eat those. I was never hungry. I was always fatigued. I was always on the toilet or vomiting. I carried two emesis bags with me in my purse, two in the car, two by my bed, and one I carried in my hand.
