I am going to reframe my take on the Tyreek Hill arrest to maybe help drive the point home for people. This is a fantastic example of why All Cops Are Bad despite the awful optics of that "slogan". What they did was fully legal. In the USA police are allowed to legally detain you based on a loose set of criteria, including traffic stop compliance. A detainment *can be* you and the cop merrily skipping to the side to quietly have a conversation. A detainment *can also be* a cop opening...

This is why cops get away with killing people. That means every cop has the legal authority to harm you. That's bad, we don't like that. In their current form....All Cops Are Bad. Until we change that legal precedent and start putting these violent people in prison for misusing their legal authority -- ALL COPS ARE BAD. Unfortunately Tyreek found out the shitty way.
