I used to do it all the time with Instagram, it's so frustrating when someone comments on one of your posts, then follows you. As long as they're not weirdos I generally follow them back. 24 hours later they've unfollowed? why? does it save on the electricity bill or something?

I've sometimes wondered how they keep track of this. If someone follows me and I suspect that's their plan I will remove them as a follower and block them.

What I find the most comical is when they do it more than once. Sometimes I give the benefit of the doubt to people because maybe they accidentally unfollowed, but some of them seem to spend more time following and unfollowing than actually engaging with people. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Try and fool me three times, and you’re probably getting blocked.
