First lecture in my French Lit course this evening, I haven’t spoken French for a couple of months so everything was a bit rusty. Since we are studying the 17th to 19th century I realized that there is an overlap with a course I did at Leiden Uni a few years ago. It gets harder the older you get but the benefits of experience and existing knowledge often help to compensate.
