The presidential debate I would love to see is a good-faith, nuanced deep-dive into policy and ideas. Unfortunately, we're unlikely to get that from either side in the debate tonight. I have hope that long-form podcasts help gradually normalize chill, honest, respectful discussion with leaders of opposing sides. I've been trying to help in that effort, but have failed so far.
