Unpopular opinion Korean, south asian and African cooking and Middle Eastern cooking have much more flavours than French and Italian cooking. Comment respectfully and prove your point ✨

It’s not only about the flavors, it’s also the presentation and variety of cooking technique. Too much flavor/seasoning could also mean masking the poor quality of the meat.

That’s not an unpopular opinion but you need to include soul food, West Indian food, and Latin American food

I disagree. Lately I've been having east Asian food for lunch and Italian/french for dinner, and I look forward to and enjoy the hell out of both equally!! All food is awesome when you prepare it right

There are two points to consider: 1) Despite the popularity of Italian cuisine, most of the traditional Italian recipes are not really known outside of Italy. In fact, there are many Italian flavors that foreigners do not know. 2) Italian cuisine focuses above all on simplicity and quality of ingredients (which does not mean expensive ingredients; but high quality): if I cook a seafood dish, I want to taste the seafood, not the spices.

It can be unpopular and true at the same time. Not sure where we get this idea that unpopular facts… I’m sorry “opinions” can’t also be true. Didn’t we all grow up with ven diagrams?

I agree 100% Spices did come from Asia and the Middle East had a lot of influence over parts of Africa at one point. Europeans refused to use spices after they were introduced because they believed it ruined the flavor of food, ironically… so you’re not wrong at all. 😊

For example, the popular Italian and Japanese cuisines have something in common in that they both use simple seasoning to bring out the best of the ingredients. It is a taste that can be produced because both Italy and Japan have a deep history of food culture. Conversely, Korean food is seasoned in such a way that you can't even tell if it's rotten or fresh. There are 30% of people in the world who do not like spicy food. It will never be a dish that the majority of people like.
