I feel you Drew. It sucks. I had to make peace with other people not being who I wanted them to be and remember that I was never in control of that anyway. The thing that matters is that I was acting from a place of integrity, and the more I focused on that, the less I expected from anyone else. I believe that precious energy you keep giving out does make its way back to you in different ways. 🫶

Emotionally infantile people. I am also an empath, and feel this. Even among other empaths, there is lack of acceptance. I think it's like a combo meal of empath with a side of RSD that creates that kind of genuinely open accepting mindset for me 😆

That safe space is one for you first, I’ve been there. I thought I was being altruistic or that I’d be creating the space for myself through others but it starts with self. Accepting myself unconditionally made it easier for others. Those boundaries are going to repel those who are using you.

Start accepting people conditionally. Be realistic about their limitations. That honors them better than the false idea they will never do (you) wrong.
