Ok I posted this a little while ago thinking the monarch caterpillar was eating another but someone told me that caterpillars molt and it has probably just molted. I forgot to save the name of whoever commented that so sorry I can't give credit where it's due. Apparently they DO eat each other when resources are rare so I actually learned two things today. caterpillars
