Personal thoughts: Everyone screws up at times. I think we need to stop viewing mistakes as an all encompassing end to someone. We're humans and not all the same. There is a huge gulf between those who mess up, don't care/admit/see they messed up, and the people who mess up and are wanting to learn to do better. Consider encouraging those who acknowledge their mistakes AND through their actions show efforts to improve themselves. Unlearning sexism/racism/homophobia takes time and willingness.

I've said and done things in my past that I'd not be okay with now. Had I not had the opportunity to learn to be better, to only forever be judged on those things, this may not be a Threads account you would follow. I certainly would never have allowed myself to acknowledge my love of things Kawaii nor my own queer identity.
