I finally was able to use my Swedish!!! There's a patron who came in with his daughter. And he was speaking to her in Swedish. And asked me for help in English. And I responded back in Swedish. And his face lit up! Ja!! He asked for my name. So I told him my name. He said it's so nice to hear my native language. I said, "But I have an American accent." No it's not bad. It didn't make my ears bleed the patron said. 🤣 This is exactly why I became a librarian.
