Stoic Reflections: Purpose So, I've completely divorced purpose and occupation. These two concepts do not even exist in the same realm. A job is just a job. A place to waste time to earn some money to fund my actual purposes in life (video games and weightlifting), which, together, at most add up to about $35 a month. Changing up my perspective was certainly necessary, and looking at things now, my situation has become much more preferred.
