Agreed. Some people will lose in the 'civilised' part of this war - they will be attacked - they might lose something - money/standing/rights etc but society and humanity gain from not giving in and not being silenced indefinitely - no matter the 'civilised' (if painful) cost such that we don't backslide into uncivilized lawless, violence and peril.
