What is the issue to have your photos posted if you will be sharing them yourself anyway? 🤷🏼♀️ it is potential client loss as the photos might bring new clients, so yeah it is fair to be compensated extra for that

I post my pictures and if you don’t want to be posted then compensate me, Being a good girl and understanding photographer won’t get you anywhere in this profession! The amount of jobs you get comes from how much you are able to show the world that you are able to do! If everyone comes to us with this mentality, how do we post and proof to people that we can do something beautiful? Especially in this internet space that people forget you if you don’t show up?

Not everyone shares their photos/life online. Some people have a life without social media. Your compensation as photographer is the session fee and product sale. If you panic because you can’t share two or three sessions, that’s a problem it’s marketing and pricing on the photographers side.

You're assuming that people will share them on social media. Some may just want them shared with family. Big difference between sharing on a public business account and in texts or cards to a controlled group.
