1 Cor 13:4 is talking about how the act of charity is supposed to be, its kind and not puffed up for example. The one doing acts of charity ought to be kind and humble.

Exodus 20:5-6 is part of the law. We Christians are not under the law, the law doesn’t save us. But it says to not worship idols, graven images. God hates idols and wants people to worship Him only. It’s still a good reminder even if it’s the Old Testament law.
