Newegg is cool, eBay is fine, amazon works. Microcenter is good, plus they have physical locations for you to go in and ask associates for help. Can't recommend parts without knowing what you want out of the machine. High resolution? High framerate? Both? Indie games or AAA? Or both? Or is he gonna end up playing mostly retro games in an emulator? What's the budget?
