My mother and my brother have both passed away in the last 2 years with some lengthy hospital stays. My mom had traditional Medicare and a supplement. My brother had a Medicare advantage plan. If you have a Medicare advantage plan, you need to really examine it. I know there is no monthly premium many times but there is also less choice in care and much higher bills. My mother’s bills were huge and her portion to pay was very small. Just an FYI from experience.
