People with two dogs, We need you to be honest about this: What is it like to have 2? 🥹 we're thinking about it but not entirely sure 😭

We’ve always been a two dog family and will probably always have at least two. We love it. Is it more challenging with two dogs, yes and no. In my experience when we got our younger golden, she learned things quickly because of our olden golden. They play and entertain each other. Is it more challenging to make sure that both are getting adequate exercise, individual time, etc? Yes. But it’s well worth it imo

Well we just brought home another pup. For our first dog to have a playmate. They have Ton’s of fun together ☺️❤️ I think they will be best sisters.

Worked out great -they bonded super fast and get along well. Had a 2.5 year old female we'd adopted at 6 months old, added a 2 year old male (a little smaller than female) Been together almost 5 years.

I have 3! It can be a lot of work (and money) but it’s also a lot of fun. I will say that when I adopted my second dog there was a period with a lot of fighting and it was scary and upsetting. I had to keep them completely separate for around 7 months while we worked with a trainer and slowly reintroduced them. I would just do some research on transitioning to a two dog household, there’s lots of tips and tricks online!

I love having two but aside from knowing thwy have a forever playmate, it's all more work. Make sure they're at least a year apart and it's generally suggested to have different sexes (though your results may vary, I have two gals and theyre bffs)

Double the work, double the vet bills, double the food, double the poop. What if they don’t get along. That’s what goes thru my head when I think of getting another one!

Not sure. I have 3. And they all pick up habits from each other. They love to hang.

We had two and it wasn’t more work, just more $$$. We chose a dog at the SPCA and then brought our first dog to meet him. They have a closely supervised area for this purpose. They immediately began playing, played for a while, and then we walked them together. This was after trying our first dog out with several others. Brought the new dog home and from then on they were buds.
