today, while teaching a student the difference between half and a quarter I got him to fold a paper in half and one into four equal parts. I then asked him which was bigger - half of the paper 1/2 or a quarter of the paper 1/4 (I held both of them up). He looked at me and very enthusiastically said “that’s easy, a QUARTER!!!”
