Spent this afternoon trying to sort out accommodation for a family with a three year old with heart problems and two other children. They started in Worthing, were sent to Birmingham, got evicted, and came to Manchester in desperation. And you drop everything because that’s just the right thing to do. And then you discover that a minister instructed people to paint over Disney murals in a children’s centre because it’s “too welcoming”. How could any human do that? It’s just sick.
