This is one of my most FAQ is what are the “wired things across our windows?” We call them fly screens or security screens, it’s so we can have the window or door open & no bugs or people can enter 😆 is this just an Australian thing???

Window screens were a thing in Hawaii and Utah (didn't look like that but had screens) but when we moved to Texas the house didn't have screens on the windows at all. So now that you say it...maybe it's not a thing??

So I’m in Aus now but when I lived in South Africa - this is definitely not a thing. Security bars on windows to keep people out - yes! Haha but not fly screens. Flys could still get through. Just so dangerous there, that you have to have security bars. But I like the idea here of keeping people AND bugs out 😂
