I’ve tried living in the forest. I tried the plains and the tropics. A city in the mountains is the place for me. Mountains and tall buildings make the sky appear closer. Humans are meant to live close together, how else could we begin to collaborate. Rural living can breed an intense distrust of humanity. When public spaces are unavailable we are all alienated. Some of us handle it better than others. Some fight back and some give in. I could never kneel.
