Here’s a southbound SMART train crossing the Haystack Bridge near Downtown Petaluma. With several passing loops along the line, SMART should aim to run at least hourly service off peaks daily (not having two-hour gaps) so that it can properly compete against Golden Gate Transit, Marin Transit, and Sonoma County Transit.
