My niche interest is Pokemon licensing in the late 90s/early 2000s. Demand was crazy high so they opened up the manufacturer floodgates. No one knew which pokemon would be popular in the States so different licensees received a crapshoot of characters to produce. It was a 100% licensed off model free-for-all.
