Had a non-trauma-informed experience at Target. Was waiting to make a return when a teenager got very close to me in line. I turned and smiled, saying “need some space pls”. She moved back. Shortly after, she got closer again. I turned and lifted my eyebrows as a subtle reminder. Her mom then got in line with her where they talked about me and laughed. The teen then got back to back with me. In my head I was calming myself and practicing how to set a firm boundary. I stepped out of the way…
