first thread. @meganstrose got me going w her stories on being paid ZERO DOLLARS for her part in a multi-artist show that grossed +$1500 in Halifax. I've had 3 shows try to stiff me on an agreed split or guarantee.  it's never OK.  I fought my way to my guaranteed pay in every single case, but it felt like I was ruining relationships to do so. I have personally lost money on shows that I have headlined/organized, in order to get everyone else paid fairly. THIS IS BUSINESS.
