if someone came up to you in person and starts being a jerk and verbally assaulting you for no reason, you’d be like “wtf, gtfo of here” and others would likely get your back
but if someone does it online, we are expected to just accept it as normal
why should social norms differ so wildly online?
the more online spaces become personified through virtual physical presence (AR/VR), i expect (read hope) that online spaces will become more humanized
