Thy thunderings, and roaring,
The sky, by light is scissored.
The earth's grief thus twitched,
Thy tears, day by day drizzling.
The window that the rain kissed,
Though life as spring be waning.
That breath, to death so crawled,
That rift that's silence quietening.
If life tho' blooming be so ebbing,
If blossoms with breath dry blood,
If raindrops on windows sorrow bring,
Then thaw do fires, tho unguarded.
