A practice that has helped me tremendously:
Taking a day or two throughout the work to journal and “take stock” of my mental state, the areas of my life that are important to me, and the areas that I’m trying to develop.
What are the things that I’m doing that I KNOW I shouldn’t be doing? Where do I need to improve? What have I been doing well? What “micro-goal” will I set between now and the next journaling session?
Having frequent, open and honest dialogues with yourself goes a long way!
