When you fall off of any “bandwagon,” you can bet that it was never a habit in the first place.
When a behavior becomes truly automated, there isn’t much that will throw you off of doing that behavior for more than a day or so - because you find so much value in it that you actually miss the way it makes you feel to do it.
Notice what’s NOT sticking. Why did you decide to do the thing in the first place? Does it actually bring you some kind of benefit? Do you need to make it smaller, somehow?
