The MTP interview of Trump follows the model of treating US electoral contests as TV dramas where what matters is only the dramatic characteristics of the candidate, e.g., showing strength, having drive, being willing to attack, etc. By that model, Trump, unfortunately comes off well. He sounds as if he knows the score. His delivery is certain. That he lies, that his bad policy ideas are based on falsehoods matters not in Welker's TV drama -- only how Trump expresses his TV character matters.
