Matthew Perry died today. I remember watching him as a kid, his seemingly effortless ability to make people laugh with impeccable timing and wit, and thinking, "I want to do that." His life was riddled with addiction and pain but he also inspired so many people, myself included, to make the right joke at the right time to help tricky situations feel a little lighter. He was 54 years old. My heart hurts for everyone who loved him.
