Get rid of street parking entirely in Manhattan and redesign the streets for pedestrians and cyclists. Put in Parisian-style terraces and plantings to absorb rainwater. Make most streets accessible only to mass transit, commercial and emergency vehicles. I’m tired of paying taxes to store other people’s SUVs while I walk in traffic because the sidewalks are too crowded
