My feed is absolutely overrun with aurora photos from all over the world, and I am clicking "love" on EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. because I want those folks to know I share their joy. There's something bigger at play here- it shows how much we crave connection and communal experiences. In this age where cynical capitalist manipulation infects every second of our lives,, the ethereal beauty overhead has brought shared joy to *billions* of us at the same time. That's a beautiful thing.
