Craig Bartlett created Arnold while making claymation cutaways for Peewee's Playhouse and after many changes began working on the pilot in 1994 switching to cel animation. It premiered to 2.36 million households gaining positive reviews and was Nickelodeon's first animated series to actual kids voicing the roles of the children instead of adults lasting 5 seasons ending in 2004.
