Neither are harder, they both take different skill sets. I like to do both and they each have their own challenges.

Digital art for me is for sure more time consuming because I want every detail to be right when on paper I can just sketch something quickly and don't worry about doing more

digital, you have to learn so much extra just to do what you could with a piece of paper and pencil instantaneously lol plus you just have so much more control traditionally in my opinion. its so much more work to achieve that comfortable feel of drawing just because of how many settings there is in brushes, stabilization, calibration etc lol ive had my ipad for years and its just been such a hard transition for me personally lol but the paperlike screen protector has helped me so much already!

I’ve done an extensive amount of both so I feel like I have a say in this….. Physical has more clean up time… brushes, sharpening things, constantly needing new supplies… But with digital, there’s much more of a learning curve.. watching tutorials, reading articles… I’m talking to learn a certain program, not just to draw Final verdict?? Digital. Anyone can paint a decent looking sunset picture. I don’t even know anyone in real life that can 3D sculpt, rig, and animate a sunset scene.

As a digital artist, physical art all the way. There's no undo button 😭

They're both hard in their own ways and it will also depend on the person's workflow and preferences. I tried both digital art and traditional art and there are things I love and hate about them.

I did both extensively, but went fully digital about 8 years ago. I remember when I drew digitally for the the first time and thought WTF! Even though I thought my art was decent, my first digital illustration was just too ugly. I didn’t even know what layers were. I have heard of them before, but I thought “well, I usually paint on one layer of paper, so why should I need a second layer?” 💀It is SO different from traditional art, that the two are really not comparable.

I have found the learning curve for digital much harder than any learning curve for traditional mediums. Most of the time I can transfer skills between traditional mediums, but for digital it feels like a lot of my skill honestly goes out the window.

Both is hard but it depends on the tools provided aswell… can be like some digital art software has brushes that can make it easier for the artist as that texture is already there etc. and if you give someone brushes also depends on the brushes like certain brushes will achieve certain textures quicker
