Americans were protesting a couple of weeks ago about ‘BEAUT’, a word in common use in Oz🇦🇺 but rarely used in the US. I’ve never used MOMMY in all my long and wordy life but I got it in 5. 😀🇦🇺

Definitely heard “beaut” in Texas when I was young. Probably used in talking about a truck.
