I mean in one this is another example of animation being cast aside. But, just because animation is really under attack right now doesn't mean we should support every show. Velma had some pretty big floors across the board and much better shows have been axes before. Also considering the somewhat controversial creation of the show as a hole, a little celebration about its demise is fine. But i do agree loss of any animation feeds into the cycle.
