It honestly amuses me how confused or thrown off people get by very standard medical phrasing in their notes, physical exam findings, etc. Because it reminds me how much of a different language it all really is, but also amuses me that people really don’t understand it because it feels pretty obvious to me at this point. But it also reinforces why I think automatic releasing of the progress note is often a disservice to the patient. Because it’s written in medical language for medical purposes
