Seeing Superman—my dad— being afraid of hurricane Milton truly drives home the gravity of the situation. My parents, who have never evacuated despite living in a river home, decided to leave at 2 a.m. with their most important documents. My husband and I were supposed to be in Miami this week but decided to cancel. If anyone needs a place to stay outside of the surge zones, please let me know. The accommodation is already paid for!
